A 40-page report and a five-figure quote. Now what?

Inspection reports are written for technicians. Quotes are written by the company doing the work. If you manage the building, you're left deciding what's urgent and what's fair with neither document written for you.

Property managersKnow which items need action now before you approve spending.
HOA boardsGive every board member the same clear, neutral summary.
Building ownersSee quoted prices beside typical ranges before you sign.
Facility managersFind what the report never tested, located or explained.

How it works

  1. Step 1 Send the documents Email your inspection report and any repair quote as PDFs. Scanned copies are fine.
  2. Step 2 I review every line Each finding is checked, translated into plain English and given a priority from 1 to 4, based on fire alarm code requirements.
  3. Step 3 You get a clear PDF A six-section report, usually within 3 business days. You decide what to do next, with the facts in front of you.

What you get

The same six sections every time, in bullets and tables. Facts only: no opinions, no sales pitch, no advice on which contractor to hire.

Section 1Review summaryDevices tested, number of findings by priority, and the quote total.
Section 2Priority scaleThe rules behind each priority, so you can check the reasoning yourself.
Section 3Findings in plain EnglishWhat the report says, what it means, the repair needed and the page to find it on.
Section 4Quote reviewEach quoted price beside a typical range, linked to the finding it fixes.
Section 5What the documents don't explainDevices not tested, blank sections, missing scope and other gaps worth asking about.
Section 6Scope and independenceWhat the review covers, what it doesn't, and a statement of independence.
The priority scale
1 · ImmediateAffects sounding the alarm or notifying the fire department.
2 · Short-termAffects backup power, testing or coverage.
3 · RoutineNo effect on how the alarm works.
4 · InformationalRecommended, with no failed test or cited requirement.
